===== High-Performance computing (HPC) nodes =====

These three [[https://metavo.metacentrum.cz/pbsmon2/hardware#draba.ibot.cas.cz|nodes]] **draba** (''draba1'', ''draba2'' and ''draba3'') are primarily intended for running computations requiring massive parallelization and plenty of memory such as Apache [[https://hadoop.apache.org/|Hadoop]] and [[https://spark.apache.org/|Spark]]. Each node is equipped with 4 CPU Intel Xeon Gold 6230 (4x 20 cores (4x 40 threads), 2.1 GHz, turbo 3.9 GHz), 1536 GB RAM and 2x 960 GB NVMe + 2x 1920 GB NVMe disk (scratch 5.2 TB). If you are interested in using Apache Spark please contact [[https://www.ibot.cas.cz/en/people/person-detail/?it=803|Yann JK Bertrand]]. Of course it is possible to run any task on them. Each of the six [[https://metavo.metacentrum.cz/pbsmon2/hardware#carex.ibot.cas.cz|nodes]] **carex** (''carex1'' to ''carex6'') is equipped with 1 CPU AMD EPYC Naples 7261 (8 cores (16 threads), 2.5 GHz, turbo 2.9 GHz), 512 GB RAM and 2x 960 GB NVMe + 2x 1920 GB NVMe disk (scratch 5.2 TB).
